Abstract
Over the next few years it is likely that with increasing knowledge and skill, the results of treatment with the established forms of cancer therapy (surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and immunotherapy) will improve. There are, however, several other forms of treatment which are still being evaluated or have already a role in cancer therapy, which do not fit into the above categories. The place of these methods of treatment still remains to be defined.
