Abstract

The subjects of this chapter are worked out in a very preliminary fashion. They have been included primarily because it is at the level of international relations that most Marxist analysis of unequal fortunes of different groups of workers is pitched (see Baran [1957]; Frank [1967]; Emmanuel [1972]; Wallerstein [1974]). I believe all these analyses suffer from a neglect of struggle within productive activity in each country.1
