The Case History

  • Chapter
Child Behaviour Problems

Abstract

George, a 7-year-old boy, was referred to our clinic with a wide range of behaviour problems. These included disobedience, physical and verbal aggression and tantrums. His mother complained that he was very destructive in the home, that he frequently refused to go to bed, or else got up during the night and woke the family. His toileting behaviour was also a problem as he would smear faeces around the walls. Meal times were difficult because George ate with his fingers and often threw food around the room.
