Abstract
An important aspect of the work undertaken by local authorities is that in respect of housing. The law relating to housing is principally contained in the Housing Act 1957, the House Purchase and Housing Act 1959 and the Housing Acts of 1961, 1964, 1969 and 1972. The Housing Finance Act 1972 is also of importance as is the Housing (Amendment) Act 1973.
