Abstract

The valuer is a member of the surveying profession who is primarily concerned with the valuation of land and/or buildings. Valuation may be defined as the estimation of the capital or rental value of land and/or buildings at a certain time. The valuer may also practise in estate agency, land economy, town and country planning or urban estate management.
