Abstract
This anthology serves a double purpose. It is primarily designed as a companion to the Open University course A 301 War and Society. Some of its emphases arise from the particular needs of that course. At the same time it is an attempt to produce a representative anthology of creative writing and art called out by war across some six centuries.
