Abstract
Glaciation is generally accepted as one of the primary factors in cirque formation. C. A. Cotton (1942) defines the processes of glaciation as erosion, transport and deposition of eroded debris. In order to understand better these processes a quantitative study was made of the flow characteristics and glacial structure of a small cirque glacier, Vesl-Skautbreen, Jotunheimen, Norway.
