Abstract

The existence of a thin film of lubricating oil between the moving and fixed parts of the engine is the only reason for it continuing to work satisfactorily. Without that film the engine would seize in a very short time and be useless. Therefore the lubricating system is one of the most vital parts of the car and should be treated as such.
