Abstract
Energy comes to man in many forms and an engine is a means of transforming it from one form to another. Automobile engines come in the class known as heat engines, in which the chemical energy of the fuel is turned into heat and this heat energy then turned into useful work. Some of this useful work (or mechanical energy) is then turned into electrical energy in a dynamo, to power the car’s headlamps, in which it is again changed to heat energy.
