The Sacred Month: Two Articles against the Strike

Abstract

Often as I have addressed you, yet never before have I done so upon matter so serious, or business so important. I may stand well in your estimation, generally, but upon this point it is necessary that I should lay particular claim, and prove peculiar title, to your confidences. I am about to speak to you of and concerning the Sacred Holiday; and to do so with the best effect, I prefer giving you my opinions upon the subject, as they were delivered at times when they will stand discharged from motives which maybe attributed to some who have changed their opinions, and that very hastily, upon the subject.
