  • Chapter

Abstract

The student of government and politics is interested in structures and institutions in societies with and without the state, but he is also concerned with political attitudes. Attitudes towards authority and obedience, the state and rulers are all part of a political culture that has a direct bearing on how people behave as voters, legislators, civil servants or the ruled.
