Abstract
The objective symptoms in dermatology are divided into “primary” lesions and “secondary” lesions. According to the underlying pathological process these lesions vary in appearance, extent and distribution. (1) The primary lesion is the original or elementary lesion, but sometimes as a result of a superimposed infection or of trauma, the primary lesion may undergo various modifications, and may be transformed into what is known as (2) a secondary lesion.
