Listening to a New Language

  • Marilyn Lewis
Chapter
Part of the How to Study book series (HS)

Abstract

Listening is the invisible part of language learning. You can see people turning the pages of the books they read, you can hear them talk, you can watch them writing and see what they write but you cannot observe listening. You can only observe the results of it. In this chapter we see what successful language learners have to say about listening in language learning.
