Some people think of vocabulary learning as writing down words in a notebook, covering over one column and trying to remember the words from the other column. The stages we’ll be considering are: finding the new words, working out their meanings in various ways, recording words in formats that are helpful to you, finding ways of remembering them, checking your recall of the words and, at the same time, starting to use them.
