Keeping a Learning Journal

  • Marilyn Lewis
Part of the How to Study book series (HS)

Many students are now being encouraged to keep language-learning journals. They are a way to reflect on the learning that is happening instead of just waiting for the lecturer to tell students how they are progressing. In this chapter the idea of a learning journal, which records your language learning and lets you think about it, is presented with examples from students. The chapter concludes with the journal of one student kept over a period of a few months.
