Abstract

Why do some students seem very gifted in oral classes but score poorly on tests? Why does the person who was a weak student in high school language classes suddenly shine at university? Is it different methods of teaching? Is it a late development of talent? Often the difference between a successful and unsuccessful language learner has to do with memory and motivation. The discussion of language learning processes continues with these two topics.
