Abstract
The final stage in commissioning a research project is the selection of the research contractor to use. Buying research is much like buying any other intangible service and has a lot in common with selecting lawyers, accountants and management consultants. The objective is to select an organisation that is comfortable to work with and will deliver competent research at a price that matches the budget available.
