Summary

Chemical technology, additional finishing, represents a very important phase in textile industry. With a tendency of achieving specific requirements which modern trends demand from textiles (appearance, touch, shine, etc.) as from an input and almost the most important component in the process of getting clothing articles by additional finishing of textiles, such effects can be achieved so as to make the final product of a higher quality and concurrence on the market. In this paper we present a novel approach to solve that problem: simulation of additional textile finishing by using the KB system. Using the shells of expert systems, created by the same group authors, we developed an expert system for the generation of new technology additional finishing of textiles and on the basis of the already existing technologies. The system has been tested on a greater number of famous technologies and it was very successful.
