Abstract

At this stage in the book you have gained many skills in using Visual Basic. You have created a good number of small applications whilst working through the material in the book. Real applications are usually quite a lot more complex than these examples. This chapter builds a real application so you can see how all the skills you have learnt can be used and combined. The application is developed in stages with an explanation of what is happening at each stage. Hints are suggested for solving the various problems you will come across. Bear in mind that even experienced programmers find that applications can present problems that prove difficult to solve.
