Abstract

In this chapter the focus shifts to the issues that arise when vulnerable adults decide to set up home together. How can their new status as a couple be legally recognised? How do they set about finding appropriate accommodation? What practical matters arise? How can people be encouraged to do what they want to do yet also call upon help when it is required? What if special needs arise that are separate and distinct from the needs of each individual considered on his or her own?
