Abstract

The typewriter still has a long and busy life ahead. No one can deny the benefits and advantages that computers offer when producing lengthy or specialised documents. But when it comes to producing one-off letters or memos, addressing envelopes or filling in forms, there is no substitute for a typewriter. Typewriters and computers complement each other in the modern office. They are essential office equipment as a large part of office work is the production of typed information.
