Abstract

The duties and responsibilities of a receptionist can vary considerably according to the type of firm, business or organisation. It may not only involve receiving clients and visitors. These posts can cover a wide range of activities. For example, the duties of a receptionist in a medical practice would usually include the retrieval and storage of patients’ records, the co-ordination of the appointments system, and quite often the typing of documents and reports.
