By the end of this chapter you should:

be familiar with recent empirical material and indicators of the various aspects of ethnic inequality in Britain;

understand the nature of debates about the changing nature of immigration legislation and the impact of this on ethnic minorities;

be aware of the impact of inequality in relation to employment and unemployment as it affects ethnic minorities;

understand the continuing impact of racism and racial prejudice on the life chances and social situation of ethnic minorities in Britain;
-
have practised structured exam questions.
