Abstract

Having briefly covered the principles of radio transmission and reception, it is now possible to consider the principles and practice of television. Even monochrome (black-and-white) televisions are extremely complicated in the details of their circuits, and television is a complete subject in its own right. In Mastering Electronics the systems involved will be explained, but without circuit details, except where this is essential for an understanding of systems. To include a detailed study of television (and of various other topics, also) would be to make this book at least twice its present size and cost!
