The problems in this chapter test: vocabulary, style, usage (including grammar), understanding, summary, punctuation and spelling. Answers are provided on pages 236–38, but do not look at the answer to a problem until you have written out your own solution. Use your dictionary and revise the relevant section (or sections) of this book while you are working out each problem and studying the answer.
