Abstract

English spelling does present some difficulties, but not nearly so many as people like to believe when they are excusing themselves for being bad spellers. The main causes of bad spelling are inattention and laziness - not the problems inherent in English orthography. Tackle your spelling difficulties on the lines suggested here and you will reach the required standard by the time you take your examination.
