Abstract

The previous chapter has shown how some slave devices can be interfaced to a microprocessor bus. Essentially such interfaces connect a tristate buffer or a latch to the bus. Most other slave devices also require such an interface. The aim of this chapter, therefore, is to describe some other devices showing how they may be used, but not giving their detailed interface to the bus.
