Abstract
When working with an electrical circuit you may talk about a current. The electric current in the metal wires of the circuit is a flow of charged particles. These charged particles are negative electrons. We cannot see them moving but we are aware of their effect. For example, a wire carrying a current becomes warm and a bulb in the circuit lights up. The unit of electric current is the ampere, usually shortened to ‘amp’.
