This account of the 23-month existence of the sovereign independent Republic of Bosnia-Hercegovina may make uncomfortable reading for Western presidents, prime ministers, statesmen and others involved in any way in the Yugoslav problem, and in particular with the Bosnian one, as few have emerged with any real credit, few have anything to be proud of, and some should hang their heads with shame. Tens of thousands of dead Bosnians, hundreds of thousands of wounded and injured, and millions of displaced persons form the body of evidence against them.
