Abstract
Malaysia is situated in Southeast Asia, south of Thailand and north of Singapore and Indonesia; there is additional Malaysian territory located on the northern side of the island of Borneo. The country has a population approaching 20 mln, with nearly 40 per cent resident in urban areas. The country is a federal parliamentary democracy with a constitutional monarchy.
