Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago of 17,000 islands situated in the Indian Ocean; it is bordered by Singapore and Malaysia to the north and Papua New Guinea to the east. The country’s population is approximately 200 mln, with 30 per cent resident in urban areas. The country is constituted as an independent republic.
