Abstract
The main emphasis of the book until this point has been to concentrate on developments in the UK, with some reference, where appropriate, to what is happening elsewhere in the world. The focus of this final chapter is to consider the international perspective and developments occurring beyond the UK as this has manifestly increased in the past 5 years. This is followed by a consideration of the research agenda and some of the difficulties encountered in researching elder abuse.
