In the Decade after his Death

  • Chapter
Vilfredo Pareto

Abstract

Up to this point we have considered the nature of Pareto’s thought, his work and his theories, as they appeared in themselves and in relationship to contemporary scientific thought. We have not considered the theoretical schools of thought that began with Pareto nor have we considered the studies carried out on Pareto’s work. We have pointed out the effective and, as it were, permanent value of Pareto’s theoretical paradigms. We have attempted to give a relevant answer to the question ‘was Pareto a great man in his time?’
