Abstract
AD may be adequate to achieve full employment, but it may not be distributed where idle resources exist. This results from: dynamic changes in demand, e.g. jet planes are preferred to ships, and in supply, e.g. natural gas replaces coal in heating; frictions preventing adequate response of price system.
