Abstract

All of the JCT standard forms (with the exception of the Management Contract) allow for ordinary domestic sub-contracting, which gives the main contractor complete freedom of choice when selecting his sub-contractors. But they differ quite dramatically in the extent to which they allow the employer to select sub-contractors, and in the contractual consequences of doing so.
