# Modelling with Integration

## Abstract

In many of the examples of Chapters 8 and 9 the rate of change of a variable was modelled by some function which could involve the present value of the variable as well as the time *t*. In this chapter we deal with the slightly easier case where we have an explicit model in terms of *t* for the rate of change of our variable, *y′* = *f*(*t*). To find an expression for the variable in terms of *t* we can then integrate to give
