  • Chapter
Construction Law

Abstract

This chapter is concerned with the liability in professional negligence of those professions who provide services in connection with building and engineering projects, especially large-scale ones. The most important of those professions are architecture and engineering. Essentially the services which they provide in relation to a construction project can be divided into two broad categories:

  1. i

the preparation of skilful and economic designs for the works; and

  2. ii

the supervision and administration of the works in the best interest of the employer.
