Abstract

As most readers will be aware, the 1925 property legislation was intended to make radical changes in the process of conveyancing. Its main purpose was to simplify the whole procedure, and to this end, the Land Registration Act 1925 (LRA) introduced an entirely new system of registration of title at local Land Registries. The Act envisages the eventual registration of title to every piece of land in the country.
