Abstract
The research on which this chapter is based sought to evaluate the implementation of the Seychelles National Youth Service (NYS) during its first two years of operation — the duration of the first student cohort. The overall aims of the study were:
-
(a)
to identify what, at the grassroots level, affects teachers’ experiences of the change process and to monitor their responses to them;
-
(b)
to assess the extent to which the National Youth Service of the Seychelles as a planned change was realised in practice.
