Abstract

The field of welfare is vast and complex. Many people are not aware of their rights and as a result do not get the best deal for themselves. The most vulnerable people often have the most difficulty in finding their way around the services, yet these are the very people who are likely to need the services most. Care workers can help by having enough knowledge to be able to assist their clients in finding out what their rights are and what services are available to them.
