Abstract
Studies about ethnic lobbies, not only in Canada but also in the USA and other countries, are not numerous. Their limited number may be attributed to the fact that only after World War II did ethnic groups really begin to act as lobbies and try in the same way as other interest groups to influence policymakers in sectors in which they have specific interests.
