The author of this chapter makes no pretension of introducing any scientifically tested theory which can be utilized to evaluate the role of ethnic aggregates in influencing the foreign policy of a host-state or that of the country origin. Classic ‘interest group’ theories, often utilized to examine the flow of influence and pressures, are deficient for this purpose for several reasons.
