Abstract

The guard devices on CNC machines have three purposes:

  • to protect the operator

  • to protect the machine

  • to protect the workpiece.

All operators must be thoroughly familiar with the safe running of all the machines in their area. As the setter/operator, it is also your responsibility to maintain safety within the working area by keeping the area clean and easily accessible.
