Abstract

CNC machine controllers use data in binary coded form — that is, using numbers with a base of 2. This means the system uses only two digits, 0 and 1. This is ideally suited to the electronic switching used by computers, known as digital switching. A CNC machine control unit uses digital switching for data transfer.
