Abstract

Part programs may be input directly into the MCU using the manual data input (MDI) facility. This process is time-consuming and costly, in both operation time and machine downtime. The MDI facility is therefore normally used to edit the program as required, after it has been transferred to the machine. Its main function is its use for viewing, editing and setting the MCU parameters.
