Abstract
We have seen how certain mystical thinkers respond to various features of the challenge of evil. By drawing these mystical responses together in reference to the four major issues raised against traditional non-mystical theodicy, we have uncovered the basic structure of a unified mystical theodicy. As we have seen, this theodicy goes well beyond the response to the challenge of evil of traditional theodicies, overcoming, in many respects, the problems associated with these four issues in non-mystical theodicies.
