The Telescopic World of Jeu de Miroirs (Re-reading the Works of Sławomir Mrożek)

Part of the Studies in Russia and East Europe book series (SREE)

Sławomir Mrożek began his literary career as a satirical writer. Satire has flourished in Poland since the German Nazi occupation and it developed even more under the regime imposed on Poland by the Soviet Union. Jacek Fedorowicz, Jan Pietrzak, Andrzej Rosiewicz were among the best known satirists and their influence on public opinion should not be underestimated.
