Abstract
The objectives of this chapter are to teach the personnel allocated to manage the trauma patient’s airway:
-
how to assess and secure the airway;
-
basic airway management;
-
the use of simple airway adjuncts;
-
artificial ventilation;
-
advanced airway management;
-
the use of drugs to aid intubation;
-
the use of surgical airways in the resuscitation room.
