Abstract
The objectives of this chapter are for members of the trauma team to understand:

the importance of different mechanisms of injury;
-
the importance of pre-hospital information;
-
the causes of life- and limb-threatening injury;
-
the assessment of the patient with a skeletal injury;
-
the management of the patient with a skeletal injury.
