Abstract
In 1923, Peretz Bernstein had completed a remarkable manuscript: Der Antisemitismus als Gruppenerscheinung, with the subtitle: Versuch einer Soziologie des Judenhasses. It took him three full years to find a publisher, the Jüdischer Verlag in Berlin. Twenty-five years later, Bernstein’s son, David Saraph, a very able translator, prepared an English edition of the original. This edition was published by the Philosophical Library in New York in 1951, entitled: Jew-hate as a Sociological Problem.
